27th International Festival of Advent and Christmas Traditions, Carols and Handicrafts
10–14 December 2025 – Ostrava, Frýdek-Místek, Kunčice pod Ondřejníkem, Kozlovice, Karviná–Fryštát, Petrovice u Karviné – Czech Republic.
The Souznění festival takes place at several venues across the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic.
The multi-genre festival opens Wednesday with an inaugural concert in Studio 1 of Czech Radio Ostrava. On Thursday, the traditional Advent concert returns to Frýdek-Místek in the Art Nouveau Hall of the National House. Friday’s programme unfolds in Kunčice pod Ondřejníkem. As part of Souznění, the Saturday Christmas Market in Kozlovice offers a rich programme, carol singing, arts and crafts, and regional specialties on the Village Square and in the Municipal Hall. The evening concert will premiere at the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Karviná–Fryštát. The festival concludes Sunday with a finale concert at Zámeček Petrovice – Prstná in Petrovice u Karviné, a unique international showcase in the Czech Republic.
We anticipate that performers from the Czech Republic and abroad will also enrich the festive programme on squares in Český Těšín, Frýdek-Místek, and beyond.
Selected concerts will be recorded and streamed live on YouTube and on the airwaves of Czech Radio. Edited recordings will subsequently be available for viewing and listening on the Festival Souznění and Czech Radio Concerts YouTube channels, reaching a broad audience.
