25th International Festival of Advent and Christmas Traditions, Carols and Handicrafts
6th to 10th December 2023 – Czech Republic.
Consonance festival is held in several places in the Moravian-Silesian Region in the Czech Republic. The multi-genre festival opens on Wednesday with the opening concert in Studio I of the Czech Radio in Ostrava.
On Thursday, there will be a traditional Advent concert in Frýdek-Místek. On Friday, the festival will take place in Kunčice pod Ondřejníkem. Consonance festival includes the Christmas market in Kozlovice on Saturday with a rich program, a carol tour, arts and crafts, a wide selection and tasting of regional specialties, followed by an evening concert in the hall of the Municipal Office in Kozlovice. The festival, which is a unique international show of this type in our country, will close on Sunday afternoon with the Frenštát Advent and an evening gala concert in Frenštát pod Radhoštěm, as well as an early evening concert in Hukvaldy.
Performers from home and abroad will enrich the program of the National Museum in Nature in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm and on squares in Ostrava, Frýdek-Místek and other destinations with festive bands.
Some concerts will be filmed and broadcast live online on YouTube and on Czech Radio. After processing, the edited recording will be placed on the website for viewing and listening on the YouTube channels Czech Radio Concerts and the Consonance Festival for a wide range of audiences.
