24th International Festival of Advent and Christmas Traditions, Carols and Handicrafts
7th to 11th December 2022 – Czech Republic.
Consonance Festival is held in several places in the Moravian-Silesian Region. The multi-genre festival begins on Wednesday with an introductory concert in Studio I, broadcast live by Czech Radio Ostrava.
The traditional Advent concert in Frýdek-Místek takes place on Thursday. On Friday, the festival moves in Kunčice pod Ondřejníkem. A part of Consonance is Saturday’s Christmas fair in Kozlovice with a rich program, carol tour, crafts, a wide selection, and tasting of regional specialties. This is followed by an afternoon concert in the church and an evening gala concert in the hall of the Municipal Office in Kozlovice. The festival, which is a unique international show of this type in our country, ends on Sunday evening with a concert in Hukvaldy.
The program is enriched by performers from home and abroad with festively tuned bands in the squares in Ostrava – Mariánské Hory, Frýdek-Místek, in the Wallachian Open-Air Museum in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm and in other destinations, such as selected homes for the elderly.
Selected concerts will be filmed and broadcast online on YouTube and on Czech Radio Ostrava. After processing, the edited recording will be placed on a website for viewing and listening to a wide range of audiences.
